Go forth and be fabulous!
By now you’re probably wondering, “What in the world is ‘Virtual Fabulosity’ and why does it matter to me?” Let me sum it up for you in a few small words- it’s about being fabulous in life and business -online and off. About taking your business and injecting it with your unique personality and your style. It’s about taking ownership of your business and showing it and your clients the love and glitz they deserve. After all, a happy, fabulous business owner makes for happy, fabulous clients (note: and your future evangelists!). If your business (and clients) are lacking in the lustre department, its a sure sign that your business needs a facelift in a big way.
At the core, all of this stems from a whole lot of self-introspection on my end. Time spent with myself meditating over my business, my goals for my professional future, and refining my vision and for what it is that I truly enjoy. Lots of time spent alone in hotel rooms and coffee shops poring over super-colorful vision charts, intense planning sessions over lattes, and finally culminating all of that with the business knowledge and network base that I’ve gained over my years in the industry. Mix that with my passion for making virtual relationships more personal, and my commitment to beautifying my business and making it fun for everyone involved.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not discounting the fact that its super important to have the building blocks of a great business in place- the technology, the training, the systems & automation, the planning and the revenue(!) (all of which this site can also help you build out). But you should not discount time spent with yourself to realize your passions early on, and figure out how to incorporate that into your business in relevant ways. If you’re not doing that already, make time for introspection, make time for focusing on not only *your* business, but *your* personal mantra, *your* passions and what differentiates *you and your biz* from the pack.
As for me, I’m committed to offering stimulating products and conversations on how you can not only build a great business, but make it sparkle! There’s a few key ingredients here that we’ll continue to review in greater detail: (1) Creating a strong, beautiful image (brand) online for your business and (2) doing what you love and incorporating that into your business (passion) in creative ways. (3) Taking both of these elements and meshing them to make what it is you do stand out (differentiation) and (4/5) being effective at finding, tapping and collaborating with the resources that will help you achieve that goal (relationships and reciprocity).
It really is that simple: create a fabulous brand online and off with great products and services, mix in your true passions and you will find your differentiation. Take that with you as you work your networks to create relevant and invaluable relationships and then show the universe some love with a little bit of reciprocity (pay it forward, you gotta give to get) and you my friend are tricking out your business!
I personally invite you to check out the site and all that it offers and represents. I like to think of it as a “Vogue meets Wired”, or more recently “Vogue meets Inc.” (my new fave magazine for entreps)! You’ll find super-fab products that are relevant for your work, home and life in our Shop section; resources and services for your professional growth (for both VAs and professionals in general!) a community calendar chock full of all the online events that can help you grow professionally, and always, lots of commentary and services from moi throughout the site.
So thanks for the visit and I hope you’ll be back for more! I’d love to help you on your journey to have a blinged out business that both you and your clients can be proud of. And now, as is customary for all of my site launches… roll the credits!
Mary… the ultimate webinista! I count on Mary to bring her WP skills to all of my projects. But more important than her web design skills, I know that Mary brings an incredible and insightful personality to all that she does. There are some great webmasters out there with the personality of a rock (and that’s being generous!). I know that I can always count on Mary for a laugh, an educational convo and a productive brainstorming session… you go girl! She’s also the (wo)man power behind the Virtual Biz feeder on the sidebar of the site. Thanks for being committed to getting the word out about the industry Mary!
Mario… a coding God! The man is nothing short of amazing and is a html ninja. I say Mario, the theme won’t allow X and he turns the “no it can’t” into a “done!” Gotta love that.. everyone needs a bit of Mario in their web arsenal!
Chev… a lifesaver! She really came through for me for all my last minute weird-ness coding issues! I seriously don’t think she sleeps, so we make a good team! Thanks Chev!
Meredith… our reliable intern! She’s the power behind alot of the products you see and the fabulous event entries on our community calendar. She’s a super bonafide fashionista and I relied on alot of her creative insight into product selection! Thanks for being fabulous and accountable Meredith!
Emily… a graphic design goddess! She is the creative power behind the amazing custom header/logo for VF. Her eye for style and understanding of the direction I was looking to go is the icing on the cake of my new site. Amazing, amazing job Em!
Remember, you can tap both of these incredibly skilled web gurus through my own virtual business, Entrepreneur’s Entourage!
Here’s to finding your fabulosity!
